Martins Farm

About us

We are a family run business with Clive Martin & Emma Hines (brother & sister) leading a small but dedicated team consisting of, Andy in the workshop supported by Anji (Clive’s wife) in the office.

The business was established in 1911 and was farmed by Clive & Emma's great Grandfather who traded as F. Martin & Son, it was then passed down to their parents, Don & Aud. Don sadly passed away in December 2017 and Audrey in 2022.

Over the last thirty years "Martins" had evolved from a mixed arable & livestock farm selling a small amount of feed, to one of the largest independently owned Equestrian based shops in the area, however, after 36 years in retail, the decision was made to close this side of the business in 2019, and concentrate solely on  the timber side.

The joinery workshops produce a range of bespoke outdoor joinery although having made many large bespoke timber structures in the past, which you can see on the portfolio/projects page, the business now mainly concentrate on gates plus a range of fencing, trellis, pergolas and gazebos etc all made to order.  Also stocked are a large range of pressure treated timber, posts, fencing, ironmongery and bark.
